Iran must move beyond a state of "neither war nor peace,' said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at a press conference in Tehran on Saturday, as he acknowledged breaches of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States.
He said that breaches are to be expected, but that they should be solved by a dedicated team "rather than to fight".
As Iran and Oman draw closer to an agreement on the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, diplomatic efforts are underway to free up the vital waterway which was closed following the US-Israeli war on Iran that began in February.
