The re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on whether the US will accept Iran's conditions, a spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Saturday.
He said that the ongoing talks with Oman will not be the deciding factor in whether Iran re-opens the strait, but that it instead rests on how the US moves forward.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said that Iran and Oman were close to reaching an agreement over shipping through the vital waterway, with Reuters citing a US official who said that they expect a deal soon.
