আমাদের মনে একটা প্রশ্ন আসছিল আওয়ামিলীগ সরকারের পতনের পর ও কেন তিনি বিদেশে যাচ্ছেন্না। আওয়ামিলীগ সরকারের আমলে বছরের পর বছর তাদের দলিয় মানুষ জন তার মুক্তির দাবি জানিয়ে আসছিলেন। কারামুক্তির আবেদনে আওয়ামিলীগ সরকারের সাডা পেলে ও বিদেশে নিয়ে যাওয়ার আবেদনে কোন ভাবে আওয়ামিলীগ সরকার সাডা দিচ্ছিলোনা। অল্প পরিষরে বিদেশ থেকে কয়েকজন ডাক্তার এসে কিছু চিকিৎসা দেশে করে দিয়ে গেলে ও বাকী চিকিৎসার জন্য বাইরে নিয়ে যাওয়ার পরমারশ দেন তবে সরকারের অনুমতি না পাওয়ায় নিয়ে যাওয়া সম্ভব হয়নি। তারপর ৫ আগস্ট আওয়ামিলীগ সরকারের পতনের পর ও লম্বা সময় ধরে যখন চিকিৎসা নিতে যাচ্ছিলেন্না তারপর আমরা অনেকে ভেবে নেই এখানে রাজনৈতিক কিছু হিশাব নিকাশ হয়তো রয়েছে৷ আমরা ধরেই নিছিলাম তিনি হয়তো ভয় পাচ্ছেন কেননা জনাব তারেক রহমান দেশে নেই অনেক বছর ধরে এবং আদালতে এত গুলো মামলা চলমান এবং কিছু রয়েছে রায় হয়ে যাওয়া মামলা। আমরা বিশেষ করে জানি মামলা যেইটার চলমান রয়েছে সেটার জন্য যে কেও যদি আসেন জামিন নিতে পারেন কিন্তু যেইটা রায় হয়ে গিয়েছে সেই অবস্তায় দেশে আসেন তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করতে হয় এবং তারেক রহমানের অনেক গুলো মামলা রয়েছে৷
