এচাড়া আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের পতনে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের যে ভূমিকা আছে বলে মানুষ মনে করেছিল সেটা অবাস্তব এবং ভিত্তিহীন বলে দাবি করেন তিনি। ডিসেম্বর মাসেই সরকারের ডক্টর ইউনুস এর সাথে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা বিষয়ক উপদেষ্টা জ্যাক সোলায়মান এর সাথে কথা হয়৷ বাংলাদেশে জাতীয় নির্বাচন কবে হতে পারে অংকে সুনির্দিষ্টভাবে ছাড়ানোর জন্য ডঃ মুহাম্মদ ইউনুসকে অভিনন্দন জানান তিনি৷ এছাড়া যুক্তরাষ্ট্র গণতান্ত্রিক বাংলাদেশের পাশে থাকার আশা ব্যক্ত করেন৷ অন্যদিকে বাংলাদেশের অভ্যুত্থান এ যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সরাসরি হাত নেই বলার পর ভারতীয় উপরস্ত বিভিন্ন ব্যাক্তিরা ও একই মনোভাব প্রকাশ করেন বলে জানান তিনি। বাংলাদেশ কে নিয়ে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের এমন বক্তব্যের পর ওয়াশিংটনের মনোভাব কি সেটা স্পষ্ট হয়ে গেছে। তবে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সাথে সম্পর্ক আর উন্নয়ন করে বাংলাদেশের উন্নয়ন অগ্রযাত্রায় পাশে পাব বলে মনে করছে সাধারণ জনগন।বাংলাদেশের সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার পতনে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ভুমিকা কি ছিল তা স্পষ্ট করায় ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছি যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা বিষয়ক উপদেষ্টা জ্যাক সোলাইমান কে।
