সাত কলেজের প্রতিনিধি দল যখন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভিসির সাথে দেখা করতে আসছিল তখন ভিডিওতে দেখা যাচ্ছিল ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভিসি খুব রাগান্বিতভাবে তাদের সাথে কথা বলছিলেন। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এর ভিসির কথার প্রতিবাদে প্রথমে তারা সাইন্স ল্যাবরেটরি মোড অবরোধ করে। এর আগে সন্ধ্যার দিকে সাত কলেজের কয়েকশ শিক্ষার্থী সাইন্স ল্যাবরেটরী মোড় অবরোধ করে এবং প্রায় সাডে চার ঘন্টা এখানে অবস্থান করে। একপর্যায়ে তারা ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপ্চার্য বাসভবনের দিকে মিছিল নিয়ে যান এবং নীলক্ষেত মোড়ে তারা বিক্ষোভ করেন। একপর্যায়ে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন হল থেকে কয়েকশ শিক্ষার্থী মিলিত হয়ে আন্দোলনকারীদের দাওয়া করেন এতে তারা নীলক্ষেত মোড় থেকে কিছুটা দূরে সরে যান।

When the delegation of seven colleges were coming to meet the VC of Dhaka University, it was seen in the video that the VC of Dhaka University was talking to them very angrily. They first blocked the science laboratory mode in protest against the words of the VC of Dhaka University. Earlier in the evening, hundreds of students from seven colleges blocked the Science Laboratory intersection and remained there for almost four and a half hours. At one point, they took a procession towards Dhaka University Vice Chancellor's residence and protested at Neelkhet intersection. At one stage, hundreds of students from different halls of Dhaka University gathered and called on the protesters, causing them to move away from Neelkhet intersection.
