In expatriate life, work is very busy, there is no morning, no night.

Good morning friends, how are you all?

While many people's days are just beginning, my morning routine has already become quite hectic. In fact, the lives of working people like us follow a slightly different pattern. Early in the morning, when the familiar world around us is just starting to open its eyes, we have to leave our beds. We have to hurry up and rush to work after finishing our household chores. Today was no exception. While many people may be enjoying their lazy morning or just waking up, almost two hours of my busy day have already passed.

Our daily struggle continues in this rough and dusty environment of concrete, sand and bricks. If you look around, all you see are unfinished brick walls, large concrete pillars and iron scaffolding. When I look at the buildings under construction around me during my work break, it seems that every brick is covered with drops of sweat from ordinary people like us. As the sun increases in intensity, this concrete cage around us becomes hotter. It is a great relief and joy for any person to get a little rest for a few minutes in the midst of such sweaty hard work.

Now I have got such a small opportunity for leisure. Sitting on a wooden plank at the work site and looking at the calm yet rugged environment around me, I felt like sharing some thoughts and feelings of this lazy moment with you. Keeping a bottle of cold water with me to quench my thirst and keep myself refreshed in this intense heat is my daily habit. When I left the house, I carefully mixed some ice and water in the bottle. This gray-colored thermal bottle has become a faithful companion in my daily work.

When my throat becomes dry while working in the sun, it is not possible to fully appreciate how peaceful it is to drink a sip of icy water from this bottle, which is perhaps not possible if you do not work in this hot sun. This little cold water brings new vitality to this tired body, washing away all the fatigue in the mind in an instant. There is a strange kind of satisfaction hidden in this busy and difficult life. At the end of the day, when I look at the structures or walls that I have built with my own hands, I forget all the hardships and feel a different kind of happiness. My little rest time is almost over. I have to stand up again, pick up the tools of work. This busy life flows like this endlessly, yet in the midst of it, we find the simple joy of living in our own way. May you all be well and take care of yourselves.
