We try to keep track of the Bengali months, Arabic months, and English months according to the year, in English there is a year in 12 months, in Arabic there is a year in 12 months, and in Bengali there is a year in 12 months, in English the year starts from January, and in Arabic the year starts from Muharram, and in Bengali the year starts from Baishakh, Bengali New Year is celebrated on the 1st of Baishakh.

In our Bangladesh, yesterday was the 1st of Baishakh, that is why yesterday we celebrated Bengali New Year in our Bangladesh, on the occasion of the New Year on the first Baishakh, our Bangladeshi government holiday is observed, processions are taken out in many places in Bangladesh on the occasion of the Bengali New Year, people from different groups and organizations celebrate Pahela Baishakh in different ways.

Yesterday I went to Sirajganj on a special occasion. When I went there, I saw various arrangements on the occasion of the Bengali New Year on Pahela Baishakh, especially a few groups taking part in a procession, and in front of that procession I saw a horse-drawn carriage, that horse-drawn carriage was decorated in various ways, that horse-drawn carriage was going ahead and in the procession, people from different groups and organizations were taking part in the procession.

On Pahela Baishakh, various events are organized in different places on the occasion of the New Year, the biggest of which is organized in Dhaka, which is called the Mangal Shobhajatra, in addition, various events are organized in different places in the country on the occasion of the Bengali New Year, especially cultural events are organized in each district, and area-based fairs are organized, which is called the Baisakhi Mela.

All the people of Bangladesh, young and old, decorate themselves in different ways to celebrate the Bengali New Year on this first day of Baishakh and go to different places. On this day, many people love to eat Panta Hilsa, which is why Panta Hilsa shops are set up in many places. On Pahela Baishakh, the price of Panta Hilsa in those shops is very high, because many people eat Panta Hilsa on this day as a hobby.
