Remember the Corona pandemic? When the invisible virus forced the entire world to its knees, when people were dying day and night, when cities, ports, towns, educational institutions, roads, shops, vehicles, borders—even by closing everything, the procession of death could not be stopped, when lockdowns, shutdowns, and barricading doors and windows of houses could not stop the invisible virus, when social distancing, masks, hand sanitizers, isolation—everything was ineffective, when the cries of people for oxygen made the sky and air heavy, when the entire world's humanity saw its helplessness in silence, then everyone understood—how fragile the pride of civilization is.
Then time passed. People forgot everything again. People actually forget. No crisis, no death, no cry, no lesson—they cannot remember anything for long. The days of Corona are also buried in the dust of memory today.
Now there is no longer any fear of viruses like Corona, now fear is in the form of a human hell. It is difficult to say who is plotting to harm whom, whose venomous fangs have tasted whose blood, who is preparing to chew or crush whom. Today, people are more afraid of visible people than invisible viruses.
At the end of the day, people are the biggest enemy of people.
Generous, liberal, humane—these words are now more like masks. As soon as the need for self-interest is gone, the color of humanity is washed away, the mask falls off, and the violent face inside comes out.
The reason to believe that people were not for people before, are not today, and will be in the future too—is getting weaker every day.
Self-interest is over, and philanthropy has begun. This is today's civilization. This is the true face of people.
